Mod 1 and 2 bundle 420 by 700.png

6 month access to LGV CPC 1a Multiple-choice theory and Module 1b Hazard Perception Tests and Module 2 Case Studies Test

£50.00

Before beginning your practical training, you must successfully complete two separate tests: the LGV multiple-choice test and the hazard perception test.

To pass the module 1a multiple-choice theory, you must achieve a minimum score of 85%. This test consists of 100 questions and you will have 1 hour and 55 minutes to complete it.

The module 1b hazard perception test requires a minimum pass mark of 67 out of 100. During this examination, you must click when you see a hazard developing.

Both tests are administered at a test center and can be booked for the same day. Upon completion, you will receive a letter indicating whether you have passed or failed.

It is important to take these tests seriously as they are crucial steps in obtaining your LGV license. With dedication and preparation, you can confidently pass both tests and move forward with your practical training.

Multiple Choice Theory

  • Every revision question from the DVSA – the people who set the test.

  • Sit unlimited mock tests with interactive case studies.

  • Read the DVSA explanations and links to the Highway Code to help you learn and understand the correct answers.

  • Detailed progress monitor.

  • Optional English voiceover to help those with reading difficulties or dyslexia.

Hazard Perception

  • Practise using over 700 high quality interactive video clips covering a variety of environments and road conditions to help prepare you for your test.

  • Watch the DVSA’s introduction video and sample video clips.

  • Sit unlimited mock tests using high quality video clips.

  • Review each clip to improve your skills.

  • Analyse your performance and find out when you are ready to sit the real test.

To become a qualified lorry driver, you must obtain a driver CPC qualification. This requires passing the module 2 case studies test, which can be taken at a test centre alongside the multiple-choice theory and hazard perception tests. Interestingly, you can take the module 2 test before passing your practical driving test.

The exam consists of several case studies that present scenarios you may encounter during your working day as a lorry driver. Each case study contains between 5-10 questions, and to pass, you must achieve a minimum score of 40 out of 50. You will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the questions.

Once you have passed the module 2 test and the module 4 practical demonstration test, which your training school will assist you with, you will have completed your driver CPC. This qualification will be valid for five years, allowing you to pursue a career as a professional lorry driver.
