LGV HGV Refresher Training
Have you held your lorry driver licence for a while and not used it? If so and you’re now thinking of returning to the industry you may feel a little apprehensive about getting behind the wheel of a 44 ton vehicle again.
LGV/HGV Refresher Training is ideal if you have not driven a particular type of vehicle for many years or if you have been granted a category on your licence but have never actually received any form of training.
What's included in the HGV refresher training?
We can tailor our training to suit your needs—you can just let your instructor know on the day, maybe you would like to improve your driving skills or maybe you would just like to work on your reversing and uncoupling procedure.
Under the careful supervision of our instructors, this course is a great way to boost your confidence if you already have a Class 2 licence but you have not driven one for a long time. Whether you are moving careers or need a refresher before you take on new responsibilities, we can help you get back in the driver’s seat and out on the road.

Corporate Driver Training
Corporate driver training courses are designed to enhance the skills and safety of employees who drive as part of their work duties. These courses cover a range of topics, including safe driving techniques, defensive driving strategies, and risk management practices. By improving driving skills and promoting safer driving behaviours, these programs can help reduce accidents, lower insurance costs, and demonstrate a company’s duty of care.
Whether you’re self-employed and drive for work or have a fleet of vehicles on the road, our Corporate Driver and Fleet Training Courses are created with your business in mind. Estimates suggest that 1 in 3 road traffic accidents involve people driving for work purposes, including travelling to and from their home. It is our mission to work with you to lower this statistic.
Our Corporate Driver Training Courses aim to help you and your business effectively manage your work-related road safety and raise the skill level of your drivers. Through our training courses, you will not only demonstrate your duty of care as an employer, but you will also gain a host of other benefits. Following our tailored Corporate Driver Training Courses, your business may benefit from:

Shunter Training
LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) training, designed for staff who need to manoeuvre LGV shunters within a customer’s site.
Our LGV shunter courses cover the safe and efficient operation of rigid and/or articulated vehicles, including safe systems of work, reversing and the use of banksmen. They can be tailored to suit any experience level.
Shunter training equips individuals with the skills and knowledge to safely maneuver heavy vehicles, primarily within company premises or on-site, without requiring a full HGV license. It focuses on practical skills for moving vehicles like lorries and trailers, often in confined spaces, and may include safe use of hand signals for guidance.
Candidates will gain an understanding of the key risks associated with manual handling, relevant legislation, and the financial and personal impact of injuries. The course also covers correct lifting techniques and the use of manual handling equipment to ensure safer working practices.
